Hilary was born on September 28th, 1987, and began her acting career at a young age, soon being labelled a ‘teen idol.’ Following her success as Miss McGuire, she starred in a film of the same name, and appeared in numerous others, such as the Cheaper by the Dozen franchise and A Cinderella Story, alongside heartthrob, Chad Micheal Murray.

Hilary later starred in independent films, playing a range of adult-themed roles, before landing a major role in Younger. For those who haven’t seen it, here’s the premises:  After being mistaken for younger than she is, a single mother decides to take a chance at reboot her publishing career and her love life, as a 26-year-old. (In my humble opinion… It’s amazing). Duff played Editor ‘Kelsey Peters,’ earing her award nominations and her next role in How I met Your Father- a spinoff to the Emmy-winning How I Met Your Mother.

Alongside her work on-screen, Hilary entered the music industry with her debut album Santa Claus Lane, being released through Walt Disney Records in 2002. But her musical achievement would come a year later, when she signed with Hollywood Records and her second album, Metamorphosis, which topped the Billboard 200 chart, earning a Platinum certification- This would be the start of a more mature sound.

Like most celebrities, Hilary has heard a lot of gossip about her personal life, in particular her religious beliefs.

Like most celebrities, Hilary has heard a lot of gossip about her personal life, in particular her religious beliefs. Speculation occurred in 2014 when rumors circulated about her connections to Scientology, due to her close friendship with Alanna Masterson, a lifelong member of the church. This was debunked, however, when Hilary explained that a tattoo she had of a moon, was mistaken for a Scientology symbol. Gossipmongers also questioned whether Hilary’s links to the so-called ‘cult,’ caused the rift with her sister Haylie, a devout Christian.

More recently, Hilary has discussed her experiences of participating in Jewish traditions, having married singer-songwriter Matthew Koma. She has also explored other spiritual paths, including meditation and yoga. But what does she believe?

Texan born Hilary grew up attending church with her family and during her career, she has spoken openly about her belief in God. From an early age her parents Momager Susan, and her father Robert, instilled the importance of faith, attending church regularly and emphasizing the values of Christianity. While it seems Hilary tries to keep her private life quiet, she has shared how her faith brings her solace, and keeps her grounded, particularly amongst the chaos of the entertainment industry. In an interview with Piers Morgan, Hilary mentioned that she actively prays for her children and was stormed by paparazzi, as she walked into a Lutheran church in 2014.

According to Celebrities Religions Hilary’s unwavering commitment to the values of compassion and respect, have served as a beacon of hope to fans, who admire her resilience and authenticity. Behind the camera, she has subtly incorporated these beliefs into her philanthropic work, teaming with charities like Save the Children, and women’s advocacy program PERIOD.

Although some still question her religious views, striving to live with integrity, frankly, just makes me like Hilary Duff even more.
