
Nancy Mudenyo Hunt
Nancy Mudenyo Hunt is an award-winning international development leader, social entrepreneur, keynote speaker, Co-Founder and CEO of The Nasio Trust. Born and raised in Kenya, Nancy has spent more than 25 years working alongside communities to create lasting routes out of poverty through education, healthcare and sustainable livelihoods.Since co-founding a Christian charity, The Nasio Trust in 2001, she has helped develop it from a grassroots initiative supporting vulnerable children into an organisation working with children, families and communities in Kenya and Tanzania. Her approach is rooted in the belief that sustainable change comes from empowering communities to shape their own futures. Nancy received an Honorary Doctorate from The Open University in 2017 and an Honorary Degree of Letters from the University of Reading in 2022, recognising her outstanding contribution to education and social impact. She was also named the UK’s Most Inspirational Woman at the 2015 NatWest Venus Awards.
