Life can be tough; we all know that. Sometimes you don’t want to share your deepest issues with family or friends, fearing they won’t understand or would judge you. Sometimes you even need help to talk to God about things, because you feel so ashamed or confused you’ve started to believe He doesn’t love you.

We’ve all heard the phrase, “A problem shared is a problem halved” but with the best will in the world, sometimes you just need more than the people who know everything about you. That’s where a qualified, empathetic and professional counsellor can be of great value.

In my work, I’ve met people from all walks of life, from strong believing Christians to atheists, and those who adhere to other faiths. I’ve also worked with those in ministry and leadership and I promise never to judge you. All my work is confidential and my training and experience mean I know how to help you gently unfold issues, even those that have gone back years.

I have a specialism in sex and pornography addiction (and yes, this does impact Christians as well as unbelievers) and can offer expertise and a range of measures to help people break free. Plus, I’ve supported many family members of someone addicted to sex/porn so if this is something you’re facing, know that you’re not alone and you don’t have to carry this burden without help.

With over a decade of experience of bereavement work, I understand loss and all that accompanies it. I know that bereavement includes more than losing a loved one and can be due to redundancy, retirement, divorce, life-changing illnesses or operations and a whole host of other difficult scenarios.

Anxiety, depression, anger and relationship struggles all benefit from a professional and empathetic approach; having someone to journey with you can make all the difference.

As a committed Christian, I know that many of us with a relationship with Jesus want to include faith perspectives in counselling sessions, and I allow you to bring this in as much or as little as you want. Everybody’s different; there’s no “one size fits all” approach. Rather than make assumptions about how you want to include your faith, I let you decide.
