Hemel Food Garden will be buzzing with life on Saturday 7th September. Join Sunnyside Rural Trust, the Mayor of Dacorum & friends from the bee-loving community to celebrate bees at our ‘Give Bees a Chance Family Fun Day’. Bring the family to enjoy a fun day of Bee-themed activities; make a Bee B & B, frame for a hive, bee crafts, bee treasure hunt around the orchard & even name a bee!

Music by the spectacular Electric Umbrella & Dacorum Community Choir, delicious food stalls, local markets stalls, meet some friendly reptiles, bouncy castle, & more.

We’re developing our Northchurch allotments site into a training centre with a new farm shop & stables to house rescued livestock. The project will enable people with learning disabilities to gain more training & employment opportunities. Local schools & groups will also benefit from this project by using the educational facilities to teach children about environmental issues & growing food. The farm shop will sell zero-waste products & produce grown on site. All money raised from this fundraiser will go towards our exciting project.

We continue to mark the 30th birthday of CVM (the Big 30) with events of different shapes and sizes, planned for 2019, that look back and celebrate how God has changed the lives of men and look forward to the fight that still lies ahead. We’re especially stoked up about 3 special evenings that are coming up in the autumn.

The Big 30 Celebration Roadshows will take place in Brighton, Bristol and York and will be nights out like no other. Following on from the success of our established CVM Roadshow nights and marking 3 decades of winning men to Jesus, these events will be a packed evening of comedy, fun, inspirational stories and envisioning for the future. Download Flyer

A night out for men and women... CVM’s Nathan Blackaby (CEO) and Carl Beech (President), will jointly host each evening with comedy from top stand-up performer, Andy Kind. It’s perfect occasion for a men’s group event or as a night out with ‘the other half’. You could even combine the two. Either way, you can enjoy a free drink and some nibbles, then sit back and take in the evening.

The ability to connect with an audience is an essential element of public speaking. Yet it is possible for an effective presentation to be delivered without affecting those who hear it, but there are ways that even the most proficient speakers can enhance their communication skills.

This autumn, for the first time, Rob Parsons is going on tour to share insights from over fifty years of experience. He will unpack methods that will help any public speaker to better grasp not only how to speak to the head, but to the heart.

Having spoken to well over a million people around the world, from multinational organisations to church congregations, he has fine-tuned approaches that can help anyone wanting to grow in this area.

WHAT DOES FREEDOM REALLY LOOK LIKE? We try and maintain the momentum, but life keeps adding yet more challenges! With home and family pressures, workplace challenges, health and relationships – it’s difficult to know what’s worth keeping up and what to let go. But as Christian women our identity lies not in the season of our lives, nor in our roles and responsibilities – but in Christ.

We’re delighted to be going on tour again in partnership with Spring Harvest. Join us as we unpack more about what freedom really looks like.

Are you involved in leading other women? Do you have a formal role, or are you exploring the possibilities for women’s ministry in the future?

The Woman to Woman course is designed for women of all ages and backgrounds who want to help and minister to other women – whether on a one-to-one basis, leading small groups, or with responsibility for church or area-wide groups. Understand more of God’s design and purposes for women, and how He has designed you with your own character and gifting.

The teaching will also provide insight into the influences of personality – your own, and of others – using the MBTI tool. This course is brimming with opportunities to learn, grow spiritually, develop your gifts and inspire vision.

In many ways, life is like an arena. There are pitfalls, arrows might fly towards us and we don’t always know what is coming through the gates. Often these uncertainties or difficulties can test our integrity, resilience and character. We must prepare ourselves for these challenges so that we can ‘run with perseverance the race marked out for us’ (Hebrews 12:1 NIV).

Join Rob Parsons and Gerrit Bantjes at our men’s event In the Arena to be equipped with practical strategies to withstand the challenges of life.
